If you’re anything like me, you probably wait until the last minute to get in shape for summer. But don’t worry, there’s still time! Here’s our some of my best last minute fitness tips:
1. Find a workout buddy
After a long week of work or school, it can be hard to get up in time to get to the gym, especially if you went hard during the week. It’s always more fun (and motivating) to workout with a friend. Not only will another set of eyes be watching you work out, but you’ll also be sharing your fitness struggles, tips and tricks with one another, so you can all keep improving together.
2. Set small goals
I know it sounds cliche, but start slowly. Set small goals. If you’re just starting out, don’t try to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. Set a smaller goal, like working out three times a week, and build from there.
Learn how to exercise properly. Exercise isn’t just about short term results; it’s about how you feel long-term. When you learn how to exercise properly and listen to your body, you’re going to enjoy exercising more and will stick with it longer.
3. Make it fun
Find an activity that you enjoy and make it part of your routine. For me, it’s mountain biking. As you continue to push your fitness goals you enjoy the journey and conquer any obstacles you might come across. It stops feeling like a chore, but rather a fun experience.
4. Make A Plan & Stick To It
The best way to achieve greatness is to stick with a game plan and not deviate from it. The more random things you try, the more likely you’ll be distracted from what matters most – achieving your goals day after day.
Create a schedule and stick to it. This is easier said than done, which is why so many people get nothing done. If you create a schedule for your day and stick to it, you’ll be amazed at how much more productive you are in the long run.
The best part about getting in shape is feeling good and looking your best. However, it’s also fun to feel healthy and enjoy the activities that you want. These tips will help you get in shape quickly and effectively. So, whether you’re trying to tone up for summer or get ready for a big event, be sure to follow these tips. And, if you have any questions, be sure to leave a comment and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
